Three alignment systems in the VWA series
VICO lists three wheel alignment models, all in the VWA series. The VWA-YT-L9 — an auto-tracking 3D system with high-definition industrial cameras and patented epoxy glass-fibre target disks — is published with its complete measurement specification on the 3D wheel alignment machine page. The VWA-YT-L7 (mobile cabinet version) and VWA-YT-L2 (dual-screen version) complete the range and are specified on quotation.

The measurement figures quoted in the section below are the L9's published table; the L7 and L2 are specified on quotation.
The measurement figures
The L9's recorded hardware: HD industrial cameras, a Dell computer, a 24″ LCD TV and a 19″ LCD monitor, in a package of three boxes totalling 1.8 cbm at 260 kg. The L9 reads with a display accuracy of 0.01°, holding camber to ±0.02° over a ±10° range and toe to ±0.02° over a ±20° range, caster to ±0.05° over a ±20° range, and a maximum turn angle tolerance of ±0.08° over a ±50° range. The full measurement table is published on the L9 page. The angles recorded in that table are camber, toe and total toe, caster, kingpin inclination (SAI), thrust angle, setback and maximum turn angle; the table also records axle distance, at ±2 mm over 4,200 mm.
Platform, targets, workflow
Alignment systems are supplied from one set, with lead time confirmed on quotation (the range average is around 15 days before dispatch). Send your vehicle mix and the platform you plan to use; the system configuration, including the computer and display package, is confirmed on quotation. The recorded payment options for the range are T/T, L/C, credit card and PayPal, and the recorded trade terms are EXW, FOB, CFR, CIF, DDU and DDP.
Specification before selection
The L9's box unit is recorded at 540 × 550 × 100 mm, as its page records.
The documented accuracy figures in this range are the L9's published tolerances: camber ±0.02° over a ±10° range, toe ±0.02° over a ±20° range, caster ±0.05° over a ±20° range. The L7 and L2 are specified on quotation. The L9's table also records an axle-distance measurement of ±2 mm over 4,200 mm.
Which aligner should a general workshop choose?
The L9 is the system published with a complete specification — its measurement table is set out on its page. The L7 is the mobile-cabinet version and the L2 the dual-screen version; both are specified on quotation.
Do the systems include the vehicle database?
The L9 package — computer and dual displays — is detailed on its page; the L7 and L2 packages are confirmed on quotation. Whether a vehicle database is supplied with a system, and its coverage for a given market, are questions for the enquiry: raise them when you enquire, and the position for the model is confirmed on its quotation.
What should I send with an alignment enquiry?
Your vehicle mix and the platform you plan to use. The configuration of the aligner is confirmed on quotation; the platform models are specified on their own pages.
